Summary[edit]
Was constructed circa 1937 by building firm George Fryer. Houses were marketed by Dyer & Overton. At the council meeting where the individual road names were approved, Councillor Tingle asked whether Royal Assent had been gained for using the name King Edward Avenue, suggesting to laughter in the chamber when he said that if not, he could perhaps rename his house to 'Buckingham Palace'[1]
