Was the Edinburgh Hotel prior to the 1960s. In 1976, a planning application was submitted to convert the hotel into a hotel where disabled people who had been discharged from hospital could recuperate. This application was refused[1]. A subsequent application in 1997 to convert the building into 37 sheltered flats with warden accommodation was approved[2]; the building subsequently being known as Marlborough House.
