Thomas 'Tit' Breeds^[1] inherited, among other items, the family brewery that had been started by his grandfather from his father James in 1875. Building up the brewery, he made a point of visiting all of the tied houses on a regular basis, however did not appear much in the town's society preferring to work behind the scenes^[2]. Married Mary Amy Thomas (1856-1919) at Trinity Church, Paddington.^[3] Thomas was the twin brother to Elizabeth.
