Accessing the properties[edit]
The following will display a list of individuals that have William I in their ancestor lists:
- {{#ask:[[Ancestors::?;?;William I, King of England (1027-1087);?]]|default=|?=|?ancestors=}}}}
A template processing this array could use #explode: using the key "William I, King of England (1027-1087)" as a delimiter to find the the ahnentafel property value found immediately prior to it. This would allow the template to return the generation number and parental relationship that William I had to the subject.
